Continuing Professional Development

CLANT's Objects and Purposes include:

  • To provide... programs to assist members in their professional practice
  • To promote professional discourse... amongst the profession
  • To promote and encourage teaching and study of criminal law in the Northern Territory

Accordingly, from time to time CLANT, usually in conjunction with the Law Society Northern Territory (LSNT), presents Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities, attendance at which counts for the purpose of compliance with the LSNT's mandatory CPD scheme.

Sentencing Federal Offenders

On 10 April 2014, CLANT presented a CPD on sentencing federal offenders delivered by CLANT Committee members Lyma Nguyen and Rebekah O’Meagher.

Uniform Evidence Act intensive
